Lettre is a brand new way to make friends...or is it?

I can’t praise this app enough. I have tried to have traditional pen pals and had very little luck. I was lucky enough to come across this app suggestion on TikTok and decided to give it a try. I have had so many people write back and have such a wonderful time making letters for my pals! I find that the “notes” style portion of the app limited but I am able to make my letters in procreate and then apply them to my letter so I am very happy about that! Definitely try it out, I promise it won’t disappoint!

I originally got this app on a whim after i realized it had been ages since i last had a penpal. I looked around on all sorts of websites and apps to no avail. None matched the personal, snail-mail like quality i was looking for. However, Lettre lives up to that dream and more. I’m having such a great time meeting all kinds of friends i wouldn’t have had the chance to meet if not for Lettre.

Recently, i had a little issue with the app. I reached out to the Lettre team and was pleasantly surprised by their kindness, efficiency and support. They responded so quickly and with great sympathy. Honestly, i wish this team all the best! I cannot recommend an app more. If you’re on the fence, take this as a sign to download and check it out! <3

I absolutely love this app! It’s been so fun writing and getting to know people from all over the world really! I love the virtual post office and stamps. I like that you can change the color, add the stickers, and write with different pen styles. I would totally give this app 5 stars BUT before I can give it 5 stars, I’d have to be able to get more than one piece of paper to write on! Sometimes I just have a lot to say and need more room, so I don’t think there should be a cap on how much we can write. Other than that, I love this app and have recommended to some of my friends already!

I tried out this app on a whim and found myself using it as a sketchbook. Later when reminiscing about my friends or cousins I found myself wanting to write to them and ask about them - but not have a full fledged conversation that would last for weeks on end as we each reply days late and begin to dread our messages. This app made it perfect for me to be able to do that with old friendships - even if I lost their address to send them a real letter. Definitely recommend sending lettres instead
